Castor Bay is a beautiful affluent suburb, with some truly stunning homes along the cliff top beside Beach Road. Braemar and Castor Bay roads provide for some elevated properties with great views out over the Gulf. Castor Bay beach is a great little beach. It’s sheltered and safe for kids to swim at both high and low tide. It has plenty of grassy space with shade trees for picnics. JF Kennedy Memorial Park runs along the cliff tops and provides a great place to walk the dog and stunning views of Rangitoto.
Castor Bay has access to a small range of shops; otherwise more shopping is available in Milford and Mairangi Bay, as well as central North Shore
The local primary school is Campbells Bay Primary School located on Aberdeen Road, nearby the Pupuke Golf Course.
